DCSEU Update on the COVID-19 Situation

While we are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation, the DCSEU is open for business and staff are working remotely to continue to serve customers. We know this is a very difficult time for DC businesses, institutions, nonprofits, and residents alike.

The DCSEU is taking steps to respond to the coronavirus outbreak and minimize disruptions to our services. We have adapted programs typically delivered in-person to be delivered remotely in compliance with the District of Columbia's guidelines. We are still processing incentives and rebates for commercial, institutional, multifamily, and residential customers. Please bear with us on rebate and incentive fulfillment, especially for mailed checks, as payments may be delayed.

Site Visits and Inspections

To protect the health and safety of our staff, customers, and contractors, the DCSEU is not performing in-person site visits or inspections at businesses, institutions, and multifamily properties unless it is determined that these tasks cannot be accomplished remotely via video conference or other technologies. We continue to be available to work with all customers via phone, video conference, or email. DCSEU staff will reach out to existing customers and partners to tailor the best approaches for ongoing collaboration during this time period.

In cases where site visits are deemed necessary, we have developed Stay Safe Site Visit guidelines
