Turning Over a New Leaf: Why You Should Electrify Your Lawn Care
Reduce Harmful Emissions | A typical gas backpack leaf blower operating for one hour emits the same level of carbon monoxide that’s emitted from the tailpipe of a current car operating for over eight hours |

Kick Gas to the Curb | Electric leaf blowers and lawn equipment are light, simple, easy to use and as reliable. No more running out of gasoline, replacing old spark plugs, or cumbersome and heavy equipment. Insert the charged battery, flip the switch, and get to work. |

Testimonial
"We've been using only battery-operated blowers for the past two years and have had no trouble keeping up with the work in a timely manner. We've had no complaints from clients that our services are taking more time and have heard nothing but compliments on low noise levels from the battery blowers."
- Testimony to DC Council from the owner of the local landscaping company, The Enchanted Garden

Resources
Businesses making the switch, we understand that having reliable equipment is important to your bottom line and maximizing your return on investment. The American Green Zone Alliance (AGZA), an independent organization working to reduce emission and increase safety in the lawn care industry, provide a directory of AGZA Field Tested Certified (AFTC) manufacturers and their electric equipment. Before you purchase any new electric lawn care equipment, visit their directory for what, in their words, is "the best of the best in the cordless lawn and garden sector".
In 2018, Council of the District of Columbia passed the Leaf Blower Regulation Amendment Act that prohibits the sale, offer for sale, or use of any gas-powered leaf blowers within the District, effective January 1st, 2022. Check DCRA's website for updated information about leaf blower regulations.
