Every year the DCSEU's Workforce Development Program hosts 2 cohorts consisting of District residents earning hands-on experience in the green industry. Throughout the program, these externs gain on-the-job experience and weekly business development training while also maintaining a liveable wage. Since the DCSEU launched this program a decade ago, more than 180 District residents have graduated the bi-annual cohorts, and 85% of those graduates move on to full-time employment.
Meet the 2023 Winter/Spring Cohort Graduates of the Workforce Development Program.
