Mayor Vincent C. Gray helped raise awareness of the progress the DC SEU has made in helping create green jobs in the District, while assisting residents in decreasing their energy usage and costs. The forum, co-sponsored by the DC SEU and the Office of the People's Counsel, was designed to help encourage District residents and businesses to take advantage of the DC SEU's energy efficiency and renewable energy programs.
“It is my vision that in just one generation we can transform the District into the healthiest, greenest, and most livable city in the United States,” said Mayor Gray. “The DC SEU is one of many organizations helping translate that vision into reality by putting District residents to work on projects that enable us to use our energy in smarter, more sustainable ways every single day.”
