Intern-al Review: Paige Dunlevy

Helping contractors Train Green while pursuing her masters at Tufts University, aims to launch her career in sustainability to support the District.

Where are you from?

I grew up in San Francisco but moved to DC in 2019.

What degree are you currently pursuing and what college are you attending?

I am currently pursuing my Masters of Science in Sustainability at Tufts University.

What would you like to do with your degree?

I want to pursue either energy or water sustainability in DC.

Why did you choose to intern with VEIC/DCSEU?

When looking for an internship this summer, I wanted to find a company focused on helping the environment, specifically in DC where my family has relocated. I’m proud to be working to improve my home city, to make it more environmentally friendly and lessen the impacts on climate change.  

What are you most excited for during your internships here at VEIC/DCSEU?

I am have the opportunity to interact with stakeholders in the sustainability space and gain hands-on experience with a variety of environmental initiatives that can better DC.

How do you hope to use your experience here in your future pursuits?

The insight and experiences I am gaining from the Account Management team will provide me a strong foundation as I launch my own career as a professional in the sustainability sector.  

What is your craziest skill?

I don’t think I have any crazy skills but I have been sailing since I was 5 and competitively sailing since I was 10.
