Residential Electrification Rebates

Combine energy-efficient equipment with our electrification rebates to save money and energy while reducing harmful emissions.

Get paid to electrify your home, DC.

Not only do our rebates offer a path to eliminating fossil fuels in your home, but the dollar figures have never been higher. The DCSEU now has money-saving incentives to help you run your home more efficiently, eliminate your gas bill, and significantly reduce greenhouse gases when you convert to electricity. Our enhanced rebates can help you make the switch from gas to electric home heating, water heating, cooking, and clothes drying equipment – and they’re available to all DC residents, regardless of income.

Don’t let an old or low-capacity electric panel stop you from making the switch! We have service rebates for those who require a panel upgrade (also known as a heavy-up) or additional circuits to make it across the finish line.  Before you install and upgrade, work with your contractor to make sure you have the right documentation for your rebate application.

An electrician outside of a home upgrading the electric service panel to 200 amps, also know as a heavy-up.
