This course focuses on the key concepts behind green homes and sustainable residential building practices. Topics include what makes a home green, energy and water efficiency, indoor air quality, material health, stormwater and site strategies, renewable energy systems, and climate readiness for homes. The course also introduces major residential certification programs, including LEED for Homes, ENERGY STAR for Homes, National Green Building Standard, and Passive House.
