The DCSEU Supports Expansion of Solar for All with Historic EPA Investment

The DC Sustainable Energy Utility (DCSEU) is proud to partner with the DC Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) on the next phase of the Solar for All program, made possible through a transformative $62.45 million award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund. This investment will bring the benefits of clean solar energy to an additional 12,000 low- and moderate-income households across the District—significantly building on the nearly 10,000 families already served by the program.

As the administrator of the Solar for All direct incentive payments, the DCSEU plays a critical role in supporting solar developers who are bringing both rooftop and community solar projects to life. By helping deliver real savings—an average of $500 annually per household—the DCSEU is committed to creating a cleaner, more equitable energy future. We look forward to continuing our work with DOEE and coalition partners to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, lower utility costs, and create green job opportunities across the District.
