Event Details

Join the DCSEU for the FY 2027 Workforce Development Program Mentor Roundtable to learn about the program, the role of mentor organizations, and the FY 2027 program timeline.

This is an in-person-only event. Returning and prospective mentors are encouraged to attend.

Mentors play an essential role in the DCSEU Workforce Development Program by providing District residents with meaningful on-the-job training and opportunities to build careers in the clean energy industry. Through the program, mentor organizations host externs at no cost to the organization while providing coaching, professional development, encouragement, and hands-on experience.

For FY 2027, the DCSEU is seeking District-based firms and organizations in the clean energy industry, including those working in both skilled trades and professional fields. Ideal mentors are ready to grow their organizations, build their capacity, and create meaningful employment opportunities for District residents.

The program offers benefits for mentors and externs alike. Externs gain valuable work experience and career development in a future-forward industry, while participating organizations can strengthen their teams, develop new talent, and build capacity with the goal of hiring.
