The Affordable Home Electrification Program (AHEP) helps District households switch from gas to energy-efficient electric systems for heating, cooling, hot water—even cooking. Residential Rebates
Explore our appliance, HVAC, and electric lawn care rebates. Generous incentives from the DCSEU can save District residents up to $5,000 on upgrades for energy efficiency and a healthier home.
Solar for All
Going solar is good for the planet and great for your wallet. Through the Department of Energy & Environment’s (DOEE) Solar for All program, we work with local contractors to design and install rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems at no expense to income-qualified District homeowners. These systems have the potential to offset electricity costs by as much as $500 per year.
