Going solar saves money and reduces your carbon footprint. But did you know it also creates jobs in the District? Through Solar for All, a Department of Energy & Environment (DOEE) program, the DCSEU is working with local solar contractors to design and install solar PV systems at no cost to income-qualified District homeowners. Through these projects, the DCSEU is creating jobs in the District while assisting some of the District’s most vulnerable residents. “Solar is the fastest growing industry in the US, as well as the DC area,” says Shelley Cohen, DCSEU’s Solar Programs Director.
