Intern-al Review: Emma Stoney

Resident American University Eagle and SREC Fellow, Emma, is pursing a Master's in Sustainability Management and proud to help serve District communities.

What would you like to do with your degree?

I would like to get into the renewable energy sector, and I would like to use my degree to focus on making renewable energy accessible

Why did you choose to intern with VEIC/DCSEU?

Similar to my answer for the above question-I really like that DCSEU is focused on elevating DC communities by giving residents who may not otherwise be able to afford it, access to clean energy sources.

What are you most excited for during your internships here at VEIC/DCSEU?

One day getting to meet all of the other interns in person!

How do you hope to use your experience here in your future pursuits?

I hope to use the skills I’m gaining through the projects I’m completing at DCSEU in my future career, hopefully something within the renewable energy space

What is your craziest skill?

More of a hobby than a “skill”, but when I’m not working I love painting and drawing pictures, it keeps me occupied and lets me get out some creative energy.
