  Gas MMBtu

Gas savings are measured in MMBtu, or million Btu. According to the American Gas Association, the average U.S. home consumes about 70 MMBtu per year.

Electricity MWh

Electricity savings are measured in MWh, megawatt hours, or 1,000 kilowatts of electricity used continuously for one hour. According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), the average home in the District uses about 9 MWh of electricity per year.
