This webinar will provide an overview of the science behind how buildings work, focusing on energy performance, thermal comfort, and indoor air quality. We will explain the interactions between building systems like enclosure, lighting, heating, cooling, and ventilation and how they influence building performance. The course will showcase how different phenomena like air leakage, moisture penetration, and occupant behavior can impact key performance indicators like heating and cooling requirements. After this course, the audience will understand the importance of a holistic and integrated approach to energy efficient, high-performance buildings.
Prerequisites: Fundamental understanding of buildings plus some knowledge of energy efficiency. Participants should view previously recorded BEPS webinar before training.
