Course Description

Whether designing new buildings or renovating existing ones, building owners focused on reducing cost frequently sacrifice energy efficiency and renewable energy. This webinar will provide the audience with an overview of the Tax Code Section 179D and Section 48L. They incentivize project teams to make energy efficiency improvements to their building’s HVAC, lighting, or enclosure systems and to invest in on-site clean energy systems including solar photovoltaics, solar water heaters, wind turbines, geo-exchange systems, fuel cells, and battery storage technologies. It explains in detail what measures qualify, how to document energy reduction and the documentation requirements to successfully benefit from those regulations.
